Nolan: 24 Weeks

I’m not gonna lie, I’ve had a couple of meltdowns in the last month. There was no need to bore you with the details in each week’s post–only throwing that info out there to keep it real. I believe I’m the kind of person who’s great at juggling multiple projects and handling stress but proof that everyone’s got their limits. All I can tell you is being a first time parent is tough–biggest life changing event EVER. The thing I probably miss most is sleeping 10 uninterrupted hours straight. Don’t get me wrong, Nolan sleeps at least 10 hours each night but its the getting up to pump after only 6-7 hours of sleep thing that’s taking a toll on this momma. Can someone please  invent a pump that will do the work while I’m asleep? Thanks!!

What’s new this week? Nolan loves to shake his head left and right now. No clue where he got that from but that’s his signal for no more food or no more snuggles to the face (since we can’t help but sniffle his face all day long). As far as food goes, he doesn’t seem to like rice cereal as much anymore; probably because he’s tasted so many other things that have great flavor like carrots and squash which, by the way, is the front runner for his favorite. Wait til he tries fruits–will never go back to veggies I’m betting. He still loves when we sing to him, read to him and assist him with standing. We can’t wait to celebrate our first Thanksgiving with Nolan in our lives. Truly blessed and thankful for our little family.

Superman pose on the left and no clue why he looks so excited on the right.

Me and my little guy standing like he owns the place (which he pretty much does).

Another great laugh attack to peek-a-boo and the word “chocolate”.

Wow. Wow. Wow. He is so ADORABLE and you are very lucky he sleeps for such long periods of time! It took Cae 16 months to reach 10 hour stretches. You could possibly ‘train’ your body to produce a little less at night? Check with your doctor. Rested mamma is as important as her awesome milk.
