Happy 3rd Wedding Anniversary

We marked our 3rd wedding anniversary with a special photoshoot–taken on July 28th. I did not do a 1st or 2nd year anniversary shoot but this year was special–we expanded our family! It’s simple: our love made Nolan. He has become the biggest and happiest part of our lives so celebrating our anniversary like this made the most sense. With Nolan being just a few days shy of 7 weeks we ventured out into nature to take a few family portraits to commemorate the occasion. We couldn’t imagine our lives without him and look forward to watching him grow throughout the many more anniversaries we will celebrate. Thanks to Gwen Huyen for my fabulous hair + make-up and my cousin, Kiky, and niece, Kortney, for photographing us.

We love him!

I got to shoot a short series of Rob and Nolan at the end.

My men!

It’s a wrap!!

This photoshoot marked the very moment/event or whatever you want to call it when I truly felt a strong motherly connection with Nolan. He was responding to my voice like he would no one else. He was coo-ing with me, looking my direction when I called out to him for photos. It showed how much he knew me and I guess in a sense love me in his own way. It may have taken nearly 7 weeks but I am finally attached to my little man. I was holding back tears of joy looking at the images I got to capture of Rob and Nolan together. It was all but a few short minutes but it made everything worth it. The birthing, the weeks of pain, the weight gain…EVERYTHING!

Great anniversary/family session Thao! I recognize a few poses similar to your wedding photos :) Was that intentional? I cheered at the end when you said that you felt the motherly bond with Nolan! I’m so happy for you! The bond will intensify and it will get addicting! Although, you still need to have your “Me” time when it gets too much ;) Thank god for our hubbies when that “Me” time comes!
